    bugs?

Some kind of little critter has been chewing on my plants... They are missing little half circle chunks on the edges of their leaves. Any solution?

I think he meant that as a solution. I've thought about buying some, it's a guerrilla grow though, I think the lady bugs would just wander off. Neem Oil looks like a solution though. Thanks.

Is it just a few sparse holes or are you loosing a significant percent of your foilage? My experience outdoors is that you will get a few holes in your leaves here and there but it wont hurt anything or cause any significant damage. I have used Neem in the past when they are small and then just leave them alone once the get to say about 16 inches or so. I guess it depends on where you are at and what kind of pests are present in what numbers. I had much more problems with bugs (mites and gnats) several yrs ago when I used to grow indoors. Outside everything seems to take care of itself. I guess there is as many predators as there are plant suckers. Anyway, try the Neem. It's fairly cheap, works well and its safe. Hell, they say people in India chew on the stems, make teas out of it and such. I have used it sucessfully on flowers and shrubs around the house. Not quite strong enough for the japanese beatles on roses though, unless you spray it like every other day.

    yeah,
we get lots of snails and slugs around here some years too. Seems like they are mostly trouble during spring, especially on small new plants. I usually throw down a few pellets whenever putting out any kind of new small plants just to help keep them in check. They seem to really like Hostas too. I throw some pellets around my hostas when they first come up and again every few weeks. The pellets seem to work real good. I don't know if they go for the MJ or not. I have not noticed any particular problem with that

Maybe it is snails, They're looking better so I'm gonna just hold off on the Neem... They have little brown dirt spots on the leaves that have been eaten, maybe it is snails. That would make sense, they are kind of near a creek bank.
