Vedging under 24 hours
I have some little mamas and couple bigger (about 2 feet). The hve always been under 24 hour light cycle, but i put them outside sometimes when the sun and wind are great.
Do you think that's ok for the plant to get sun light all day and then go under light and never get dark hours to realax? They are growing great so far, i just don't know if i'm stressing them terribly or not. Any help would be great, thankssik2006 Reviewed by sik2006 on . Vedging under 24 hours
You can use 24 but a short break is recommended. I use 20/4 with excellent results and others use 18 but some time off from the light is best for the plant. Moving them in and out is ok but watch for leaf burn from the sun. If they're not used to direct sunlight they can quickly burn their leaves. I start my indoor plants that have moved outside under trees so they can gradually be intoduced to the sun over a week or so by moving it from the shade a little more each day.
