Wow just because all some one talks about is weed you think they are a loser. Obviously you take some side of what the people are saying about marijuana such as it leading to failure in life and stupidity and all of that other bull shit. Well what do you talk about the most? Playing games? Sports? Or just other random bull shit. He just enjoys it and maybe he's fairly new to it so he can't help but express his strong feelings for it. And not everyone has to "spend money" to get weed, some people grow and some people have lots of money and don't mind buying what they enjoy. I mean if some one loves upgrading their computer they spend all the money they can afford on it. So why does a person have to be stupid just because they spend a large portion on weed? If it's what they enjoy then what the fuck do you care? And honestly I think you are throwing in some lies or don't know something about your friend because I have never heard of anyone acting that fuckin stupid for weed. At one point my friends thought the same of me when I started smoking.

It all started when I got high on the rare occasion with my mates as teenage boys do, and eventually I took up routinely smoking as I got older and it became more or less a norm.

Not long after smoking more, my mates regarded me as a 'stoner' and whenever I pulled out a pipe when we were hanging out playing video games, they'd roll their eyes and get pissed off.

Funnily enough, I lost contact with general mates I've known for years, just because I smoked weed and it soon after went around the school, 'gym junkie is now a junkie', 'stonerboi'....

I smoke weed everyday still and since I have smoked on a regular basis; my grades have went from E's D's to A's and B's... Attendance went from %40 of both semesters last year, and I haven't missed any days this term.

I've went from working part time at KFC as a cook to working 2 positions in a telecommunications company; both doing office work and working on site as a part time telecoms engineer.

My family issues I once had have now settled themselves, I'm much more laid back... I've also noticed i've been saving money more and integrated good habits; study/work/budgeting etc.

I've had a lot more 'ME/SELF' time smoking, it has allowed me to think and get myself on track.

The people that once had fun regarding the gym junkie as a no hoper stoner now look to me for study help... I'm accepted as I was once again, and they all still openly know my smoking habits, even my teachers.

I guess it's different for everyone.

I went on, and on.. Probably because i'm still very quite high

Weed IS addictive, for some people. It's sad but for some people, like possibly your friend, it's the only good thing they have in life and they cling to it like plastic wrap. It's like the difference between social drinking and heavy drinking of alcohol; some people like to get buzzed every once in a while and truly appreciate the opportunity, and some people NEED to get wasted every day to feel good.

that's psychological addiction, whoever said it isn't addictive meant a physical addiction.
