Conditional releaseConditional Release is up to the judge. Usually the judge would say stay out of trouble for x amount of months and pay this fine and do some community service.. and If you do all of that, then the conditional sentence is over. It's called a suspended sentence around here (not sure if it's the same).

 From the NORML website.

"The penalty for possession of a small amount (less than 42.5 grams) of marijuana is a fine of up to $200 and possible requirement of drug education."

 Minnesota - NORML

It doesn't look like you have much to worry about. Good luck, dress well and be polite!

Conditional releaseIt's better to do 30 days of jail than 3 years of probation which is likely.

Actually you can have your lawyer discuss the possibilty of making a plea bargain for a stipulated sentance that doesn't involve jail time. I suggest you read up on plea bargaining real quick because thats whats going down in court right now. Your lawyer and the DA are playing their version of lets make a deal. Knowing how to plea bargain properly got me reduced from 25 to life all the way down to time served ( 8 months) on a misdemeanor charge. Your lawyer will only do as much as you encourage him, the more you know the better your lawyer will serve you.

Conditional releaseWoah, what did you possibly get 25 to life for? I don't mean to pry, and appologize for asking, but I'm just curious. Originally Posted by jawndoe Originally Posted by jawndoe

Conditional releaseIn California lots of things actually. It was a three strikes case. I've allready done one term and then I caught two bogus charges (terrorist threats and harrasing phone calls) because I was trying to collect on a several thousand dollar debt, that a dude owed me for some herb. So they tried to use both charges as strikes against me. If I didn't research the law myself they woulda fucked me over big time. Originally Posted by Zohar Originally Posted by Zohar
