new to cell phones - do free ringtones exist?

This site is 100% free. You can make a ringtone out of pretty much any audio file you have, the only catch is you have to wait in line like when you download from fileplanet. Or you can pay for credits to have instant downloads. But the wait isn't bad, you can set it to send a text message to your phone once your turn comes.

Mobile17 ^^ :: Create Ringtones and Graphics: online, for free!

Best one i've found, used it for years til I got a phone that I can just transfer mp3s using a usb cord.

I am also interested in FREE ringtones. DOes anyone know if there is a site that can make my dream come true? All "Free Ringtone" sites I go to look like you are about to be trapped in some hidden subscription. That doesn't really sound like my thing I'm in Canada with a Virgin Mobile/Nokia phone if that matters Thanks!! Rating: 5

shiiiity....Mobile17 nor 3gforFree won't send straight to my phone, it tells me I can only download onto my comp (Mobile17 has the option for straight to phone but not with my phone model). When I get the song on my comp...how do I get the crap on my cell? :S sorry I am pretty technology illiterate. It's a Nokia 2115I. Not an mp3 phone and pretty much a low quality cell phone (by today's extravagent standards anyway)

I just record my own through my surround sound, turn the front speaker up loud, turn the rest down, especially the bass. I can use that recording and set it as ring tone.

I'd say convert well only with an expansion card(SD Memory card). I wouldn't put any of my music on my phone if I didn't have a gig of memory. If you put to many songs on your phone it slows it down.
