Ya, I have been looking on ebay as well and I guess the best RO systems also incorporate a DI system where you change the resin after a certain amount of time. A lot of the better systems give you the choice of connection fittings that you would need also - which is nice. I think for $100-$150 RO is the way to go

I was looking into having spring water delivered in 5 gal containers, like the type that goes upside down on a cooler, and also I guess you can take those same containers and go to your local grocery store to refill. I was looking on ebay at reverse osmosis water purification systems that run about $80-$160 for good ones. Is using distilled water the intermediate step between tap and RO?
