Some questions bout my future grow room

Well ok latley I been planning my grow room. I found a nice little walk in closet. Which I plan on dividing into 2 sections... one for vegging and one for flowering. Ok there is no ventilation in this room so I am going to cut 2 holes in the roof and have a fan intaking air from the outside of my house and have a squirl fan placed at the bottom of the room which connects to another duct/tube or what ever you call it blowing air back outside of my house. Now heres my concern... I have alot of bugs outside my house and how do I prevent sucking bugs into my room? Ok here is my other question... The air outside is very humid and I think humidity is going to be a problem in the room and how do I control humidity? I heard of some things that shut the vent fans off on certain times to control humidty but that seems for people that have low humidty on the outside. ( like we cant have wallpaper where I live because its to humid) So are there ways to control this humidty? Anyways I have a few more questions. Like If I divide my room... wouldent my ventilation be point less because I have to close off the flowering side to prevent light leeks... so how would I circulate the air inside the flowering side? Should I use computer fans to circulate the flowering side inside of the already ventilated room but woudlent light from the vegging side go in through the computer fans fucking up my flowering plants? Also I dont understand the keeping mothers part... Like when I start to flower my first set of plants they will show sex and I would move my best females back to the vegging room, to make them my mothers for clones? but, couldent this cause them to become hermies or cause problems? Anyways I pretty sure I may have more questions later but some one please answer or give me some help. If you insist on using outside air for your intake, you have to use a filter. It's not even an option to go without!

Intake your fresh air from WITHIN your house. Run an a/c and/or dehumidifier in the room that you are sucking air from. Then exhaust it outside. The order should be the air goes into veg room forst because it is usually a LOT easier to keep it cool, esp. if you veg under flouros.

By building baffle-boxes, or running your vent in 4" hoses that have a big ass knot tied in them, lol, I'm not kidding hahaha spray paint the inside of your vent system matte black too.

not computer fans, those are for microgrows. BIG fans. I just picked up a bunch of 5" high velocity desk fans at walmart for $5 each and they are actually not bad for this sort of thing./

yeha that's why you shoud read about cloning for sex. Although I confess I've done just what you are saying and not had a problem... but it's not recommended, and you have to wait at least 3 weeks before the girl revegges!

thanks stinky... I was wondering was big bud a good strain for me to try to grow for a first time...?? Is big bud a potent strain and how much yeild should I expect? What other strains should I get for a first time grow... because I want to grow a few dif strains...... also would it be better to use rain water from outside to water my plants.. just a random thought.. so yea whats better to use natural rain water instead of tap water?

Hi lazy smoker 7 Im not as clued up a stinky but i have grown big bud a few times.big bud is around 8% thc but dont let that fool you she has one kick ass knock out stone.she is a very easy plant to grow and is very forgivable when problems arise.I vegged a big bud for 7 weeks and got 8 oz from her under 1600 watss hps.nothernlights and aurora indica are easy strains and good frist time strains very high yeilders and kick ass stones.Rain water is ok if the ph is ok our rain water has a pH of 5.5 a bit to low for soil but perfect for hydro though ive never used it hydro.Just check the ph and get it right for what ever medium u are using.Though some have reported having probs with rain water i have had none myself while using it .If using tap water let it sit at least 24 hours to remove the fluoride form it cause this causes lock out in Mg,Mn and zinc. hope this is helpfull as i said im no stinky lol.be safe the postman.

aw shush postman i'm not all that much of an expert, you're making me blush.
rainwater has virtually NOTHING in it (P and N in the parts per BILLION range from acid rain) and if you go that route you have to add calmag plus to it.
I use city tap water and don't treat it with anything, it's fine. But yeah the flouride is not the best...
Um what else... I've never grown big bud and my recommendations for easy but solid strains for a nOOb are nothern Lights, pure Afghani, and skunk #1.

The NL and Skunk have a rep for being solid genetics AND taking lots of abuse.
And the Afghnais that I have dealt with are as a group hardy, sturdy plants with gorgeous broad leaves and a very sweet perfume/spice aroma. I was using Afghani Dream in my breeding when I was doing it, and the offspring have their pics up all over this forum; there's one in foxysox's log, a whole bunch in shovelhandles af x BOG log, and another in my old 'miss stinky's first grow log'... I have no fucking clue what page it's on, but the Yeag posted it. I actually talked to him on the phone last night (well like most nights lol) and he was saying that it was the best weed that he or his friends had found in his city up to that date; better than anything that was kicking around previously. He grew his out organically and also released the genetics to a larger grower, yay for spreading LOVE. Anyway yeah. But do NOT get the afghani x moroccan that Nirvana is selling; it's WAY too sativa and IMHO that defeats the whole purpose of growing Afghanis! dUUUrrr!
