they react and create ionic salts. these disassociate and are very conductive thus raising the ppm (which is really just a measure of conductivity)
harris7 Reviewed by harris7 on . over doing pH up/down mistakes Adding too much ph up/down can change the PPM in the water greatly. If you mess up a few times and get the PPM towards 400, will this affect seedlings a lot? Maybe whatever nutes is needed would get locked out or anything? Rating: 5
