You should search around some more. It isn't that hard to find a place that'll deliver to the US for $60-80.

In the UK absinthe is legal but has a reduced thujone content. I've been really, really, really drunk on it twice. I couldn't say if there were any hallucinogenic effects, mainly because the whole night had to be recanted to me by other people. I simply couldn't remember from about 11 PM to 6 AM. I went into my room and came out a couple of minutes later with badly skinned knuckles...Couldn't remember how I did that, probably fell over or something. I think these effects have more to do with the alcohol content than anything.

I have a friend who is making his own absinthe. He's got his own wormwood and spices and he only paid abou $60. His batch will be 120mg thujone per fifth and I think he'll have around 2 liters of it.

I'm not totally sure what his method is, but he said I could have some by New Years. It sounded really simple, like it was only going to take 10 days. So if it works I'll find ya the link to where he got it from.
