It's not about the music anymore it's all scene, and which band has the most people coming to the show, and these kids don't even like heavy music. Trendy assholes who just go to shows because it might be "cool". It was never COOL to listen to hardcore, i used to get picked on because i liked metal, and hardcore, but you show up at a show, you know your with family. That if any bad shit went down, evryone has eachother's back. NOW Their is this gang/ band what ever, who call themselfs f.s.u. witch stands for fuck shit up. All they do is try and start fights at shows so they can call their boys to stomp them 10 to 1.

Back when club 121 in brocton was open. I saw hatebreed, blood for blood, xxl, brawl park, no regret, punch the clown, and a whole bunch of other bands. the most you would have to pay..... is 7$ MABEY if like hatebreed was playing. now they want 12$ to see some REAL crappy local band that may or may not be hardcore.

sorry for the long post.

Haha amen on the "i used to get picked on because i liked metal, and hardcore, but you show up at a show, you know your with family." its always been the same for me too. however your knowledge of FSU is a bit askewed.

F.S.U. Stands for "Friends Stand United" not "Fuck Shit Up", they are a crew started by members the bands, Blood for Blood (Chabo), Righteous Jams (Elgin), Death Before Dishonor and many other boston based hardcore bands. They are not there to start fights but in fact to police the shows. Now you can find members of F.S.U. in every state (they are huge in Portland, ME). Unfortunaly they have received a lot of bad rep recently due to the Media making hardcore shows and their participants look bad. There are F.S.U. members at just about every single show i go to and I have not once seen them give people shit that the didnt deserve, sure if your a disrespectful to them you'll get your face beat in but that will happen if you disrespect pretty much anyone at a hardcore show! In truth most F.S.U. members are really friendly, I've met a bunch of them, talked to a few and they are just sincerly nice dudes, and I respect them a whole lot because the hardcore community has a lot to owe to them, they are the reason why nazi skins dont come to hardcore shows in boston anymore, they are the reason why we have half the venues in and around boston (including romans and the cambridge elks), and they are a big reason why you can feel safe when going to a show (in fact they are the bouncers and the door people for most shows). I remember about 2 months ago i was at a show in hudson, ma and this kid got knocked out unconscious after stage diving, the band nor did many of the kids realize it happened so they continued playing and dancing but the F.S.U. members did notice so they ran out into the pit and protected this guy on the floor while they got the band to stop playing so they could get him out of there safely.

Hopefully this clears up the misconceptions about the F.S.U.!!!
