Hardcore Dancing
Haha harcore...homocore..queercore blahdy blahdy blah. Stupid ass cult, and their dancing techniques. They are there to police the shows! Sorry last I checked I went to punk shows in Austin because maybe that was a place where I would lease be oppressed by anything. Like teachers, cops. I wouldn't wanna bunch of meat heads dancing around like prick ass balerinas (sp?) policing anyhting I WENT to. Just a bunch of people at the show could grab the guy and throw his ass in the back, I mean that what i've seen and grown accustomed to. Oh and the music sucks. I though hardcore was like 7 seconds, and like minor threat and shit. not some guy in his sisters pants or the dude who just got an honourable discharge from the army and takes it out on a 14 y/o at some shitty over priced show with shitty bands.

... well there are a lot of posers in this scene, probably more posers then there are true hardcore kids, and we have the pop culture to blame, they came in and started signing bands, made them sign contracts, ruining their music. AFI is a perfect example... they were originally a east coast hardcore band, and a very good one at that. But then they were bought by a label completely changed their music, called them emo, and made them suck and then 6 years down the road the record labels saw money to be made in this hardcore thing so nowadays you can all of the sudden get hoodies from AFI that say east coast hardcore on them, despite the fact they are in no way hardcore anymore! (hence why Anti-Flag has a song named "Davy destroyed the punk scene", its about Davy Havoc from AFI)
My point being, the way you are perceiving this scene from the outside looking in is creating a biased view, I remember when i first heard hardcore music, i didn't even like the sound of it, but once you go to shows and you come familiar with the hardcore community it grows on you!

In my opinion, I really don't like the newer hardcore. I hate how it has changed from good stuff like Black Flag and Bad Brains to With Honor and CDC. There are still some good hardcore bands around like Common Enemy and Caustic Christ, but they are rare.

I just don't get where the dancing came in. I love going to hardcore shows and being in circle pits and push pits, not waiting for a breakdown and punching the air.

These pits at these shows are a lot different than I am used to. I go to a lot of hardcore "punk" shows or psychobilly or ska/punk shows and the pits are way different.
I would say what bands but I dont feel liking typing that much tonight.
