Curious Im sorry but I cannot help you with your ph question because I do not know how to accomplish that in soil. If you want to change the ph of your WATER that you water them with this is how....but I am not sure if it is the water or the soil itself that needs to be exact.

To raise ph in water use baking soda (I would NOT put baking soda in your soil curious!)

To lower ph you can use distilled white vinegar....again not something I would add to the soil itself.

You need to test the water. MG soil is always on the acidic side because of all of the additives they put into it which is why it's a poor choice for our uses and has been mentioned as one to avoid countless times on every grow site. And adding ferts to MG soil is a very bad idea, especially when the plants are seedlings and shouldn't be in such rich soil in the first place. All the water you've been adding will only increase your problems as the roots need to breathe and also the excess water will "open" the time-released ferts to only add to what's already in there!

ok so the mg was a bad idea...i'm using miracle gro organic because i thought it was a good choice...this is what the site says about the organic choice...

This product is regionally formulated with organic materials (derived from one or more of the following: forest products, peat humus, or compost) sphagnum peat, composted manure (in Florida, cow manure) and pasteurized, pelleted poultry litter.
Total nitrogen (N) â?? .10% â?? (This product contains .097% slow available nitrogen.)
    Available phosphate (P2O5) â?? .05%
    Soluble potash (K2O) â?? .10%

My question is was this a bad choice...i thought mg organic would eliminate the problems associated w/ regular miracle grow....btw does that mean the soil is 10-5-10 or 1-.5-1...thanks for any advice and let me know what you think about this soil choice

Yes, you will want to use that earthjuice next time! I used baking soda and it threw my ph out of whack. Not stable? I don't know. Keep us updated!

I just saw your new question....i read it in indoor growing too. I'm using mg organic in one plant and haven't had any probs yet, but i've only been in a week. If you are using ph correct water, there really shouldn't be issues.

Stinky told me to ck my soil ph before I plant in it to see it's ph. that was excellent advice that I will never forget!
