I the sharpest knife I can find (I usually keep a couple of my blades sharp enough to shave with, too) to cut off the metal part of the lightbulb base between the very bottom (where the ceramic electrode is) and the first or second thread. Any higher up and you'll hit glass.

Then you must break out the fillings of the bulb, not hard. File down any jagged metal, then rinse out all the busted glass/filament/white shit. Let dry for a long time (this takes a while).

Once its dry, find yourself a 2-liter bottle cap. Grind up your herb or mince it (in other words, the finer its broken up the better), drop it in the bulb. Fasten the bottle cap on the threads, they match almost perfectly. You can either heat it with a regular bic (i recommend at least medium cracklighter style), or like I do with my propane torch. If you use the torch don't heat the bulb directly as the propane flame is too intense, use radiant heat (if you dont know what I'm talking about use a lighter haha).

Continue to heat until you can just see smoke develope inside the bulb. Then unfasten the bottle cap, and use a pen/straw/whatever to suck out the vapors. Be careful not to suck in the herb, as it is *very* easy to do, but you can almost always get a couple hits out of about 1/4 bowl of herb, so try to avoid sucking it down.

Does that make sense? I'd take pics for you, but its my folks digicam, and there's always a chance I'd fuck up and not delete the pics....
