    Ive just fitted a ro sytem can anyone tell me if i have to use cal mag in the ro water in soil grows or will there be enough in the nutes and soil(canna nutes) i know its a must in coco and hydro .dont want to put it in and od plants with mag and cal.thanks.the postman

    Here's how I would approach that:
    RO water, yeah, you are going to have to replace the Ca and Mg even in soil.
    Some ferts DO have calcium in them. For example, Neptunes HArvest Fish Emulsion has a Ca value of 1%. Bone meal is also a good source of slow=release calcium if you are doing an organic soil mix.
    But I'd stick with calmag for simplicity's sake.
    Have you thought about coco? mmmmmm coco

    I was just reading a comment of urs that you keep ur mothers in coco and ive always been curious about coco whats it like for watering in a scedule point of veiw and how do u rate it.the postman.

    It's nice to be able to flush them really well. In 1-gallon pots, 20" plants under 400w of MH at ~80 degrees F watering is every 3-4 days, watering to the point of runoff.

    I was wondering how to use cal mag? Do you just get it off the shelf at the drug store? (ex..walgreens, cvs?). How much would you add to a gallon of water? Folier feed or just pour on soil?

    Sorry if i am hi-jacking the thread, it is just that you have the perfect title.

    convinced me stinky ive just took cuts to be kept as mums so ill get some coco at the hydro store .canna do there own coco coir and the nutes to go with it specialy for coco have you ever used canna or no anyone how does and is it recomended or can you let me now the nutes and brand you use.the postman.

    Botanicare all the way... their coco plus the pure blend pro line, topmax, sweet, and occasionally other treats like soil syrup (humic acid), molasses, kelp extract.

    but I do use cannazyme.

    Well then where were you when I was asking about it? Do you use it your whole grow or? And what exactly does hemi cellulose breakdown mean?

    botanicare got it im going to the hydro shop tomorow stinky so i will pick up the products you say if its a sold uk everyone i know is now keeping mothers in coco.Is this organic nutrients?the postman
