my venus flytraps (new pics)
well here they are... about a copule weeks into their seeding cycle.... the long things out the middle are the seedpods/flowers. one of them is freakishly huge, and 3 of them have the exact same 'growth' and the fourth has a diffrent one (i don't believe it's just a mutation, female/male? one is just a ball on the end, and the others are a bunch of balls on the ends, some start to sprout their flowers.)
as you can see most the traps are gone now, each little blade of grass looking leaf is a new trap coming in, some are as small as a BB, there's one that's about the size of a beer bottle cap with the trap fully open. the trap growth won't pick up good for awhile, when they start producing flowers and what not, it eats up the energy that hte plant would usually use for trap growth.slipknotpsycho Reviewed by slipknotpsycho on . my venus flytraps (new pics) well here they are... about a copule weeks into their seeding cycle.... the long things out the middle are the seedpods/flowers. one of them is freakishly huge, and 3 of them have the exact same 'growth' and the fourth has a diffrent one (i don't believe it's just a mutation, female/male? one is just a ball on the end, and the others are a bunch of balls on the ends, some start to sprout their flowers.) as you can see most the traps are gone now, each little blade of grass looking leaf is a Rating: 5

if they ever produce seeds i'll send you a seed or two if you want...
they're kinda picky tho... you have to get a really 'marshy' soil... up in WA you'd probably have to get a humidifier too (htey need like 50%+ humidity level) BUT you can't over water them, it's literally impossible... infact, they demand alot more water then most plants do... they don't use it really any faster, but they can't live without really mushy watery soil...

yeah, you're only supposed to feed each plant (not trap) like once a month... well that's the minimum... the max is 2-3 depending on size of plant and bug... they actually don't need to eat all the time... lol i guess cuz it's carniverous it needs to eat every day like most animals and humans do? lol....
ever opened one up after it's finished eating (starts turning black)? omg that shit is disgusting looking... the digestion juices are like baby oil.. and there's a dead decaying bug corpse int eh middle.... ewww... lol...
