Though I agree with LIP's sentiment in the above response, I will give you a somewhat (only somewhat, as I have never had first hand experience with it) more informative answer.

Zoom in on pictures if you can't tell, and you'll be able to see if they are trichs, aka resin glands coming from the bud, or mold, aka a net on top of the bud.
Examples of both:
Triched: http://boards.cannabis.com/attachmen...e-imgp0225.jpg
Moldy: http://aycu18.webshots.com/image/745...4404836_rs.jpg Look mainly at the two ends of the bud, obvious molding by the stem and at the tip of the bud.
And yes, mold can seriously hurt you. It is a fungus and should not be in your lungs at all, it introduces serious risk for bacterial and other types of infections. NOT a good idea.

If you want to smoke mold and end up in hospital with god knows what wrong with you, by all means do it. Maybe you'd learn not to be so stupid.
And if you cant tell the differnce between trichomes and mold, you shouldnt have started smoking.

ssry I'm new to the whole mold thing. How would mold end up on the bud. Would it be because it was exposed to dry air too long and not sealed tight?

Mold most certainly does NOT come from being overly dry, lol. And airtightness can worsen a case of mold already forming...

Humidity and warmer temperatures foster the mold, so if the weed has gotten wet or was stored before it was fully dry there could easily be a mold colony forming. Especially when the weed is stored in an airtight container, if mold has the opportunity to form, it will.
Wet weed + airtight container = mold
Now, don't get me wrong, airtight containers are not bad, unless you have moist weed that you want to make sure doesn't mold.
