Glass vs. Stone

I've always been a glass man, just nothing compares to it... But then I saw these stone pipes. I was wondering if anyone has smoked out of stone, and if so, how would you compare it to glass? I'm quite temped to pick up a stone piece online as they seem to run a little less than the nicer glass pieces. Good idea or not, from anybody who knows?

i smoked out of stone it was shit, the piece just wasnt fun to look at was just bland brownish gray reminded me of hash i love glass but for now i have a bong thats either arcyalyic or cermaic not sure

I judge pieces on quality of smoke, not visual stimulation

How did the piece hit? Did it give a weird taste like metal does? Or was it a clean herbal taste like burning out of glass? Did it tend to heat up or not so much?

lol i judge on both the smoke was alright not really metal but not plain herbal it was weird a real unqiue experience and it didnt heat up at all but then again we were smoking outside on a cool july night

8 of the 12 months I smoke outside with the temp below 30*F

I might end up getting a piece either like this or possibly this one. I actually like the second one better...

ugh i wouldnt get stone i just wouldnt i would rather get a lil glass spoon then one of those just me tho lol

I might, I dont know yet... I've been through 3 glass spoons since summer though, getting sick of it...

I'm a big fan of flannels, mostly because they have that handy chest pocket. Of course, that chest pocket becomes and escape shoot if you bend over to pick something up off the ground, if you see what I'm saying

I'm usually pretty good about it, but every now and then I forget I got my piece in there, or I forget to button it and out she comes! Usually resulting in a ne piece

I bought my friend a white/rosy stone pipe and it is the shit. The bowl is bigger around than a $.25 but is kinda shallow. 1 bowl lasts a long time.
