RESiNATE Reviewed by RESiNATE on 12-18-2004. Glass vs. Stone I've always been a glass man, just nothing compares to it... But then I saw these stone pipes. I was wondering if anyone has smoked out of stone, and if so, how would you compare it to glass? I'm quite temped to pick up a stone piece online as they seem to run a little less than the nicer glass pieces. Good idea or not, from anybody who knows? Rating: 5

I find taking big hits on stone pipes will burn your lips....cause the heat travels (assuming its a small pipe). Glass pipes give good hits and they are easier to clean.
Also i prefer glass over stone because when i used to have a stone pipe...i would tap it with a lighter to get rid of the ashes, and the stone would chip .

I bought a stone pipe on hollywood boulvard one year on a trip to california i was there
for another 5 weeks and it was under 4 bucks.
It's was after 9-11,.. plane crashes ect,... So I went to San diego
used it and stashed [didnt want to go on a plane with a pipe on me]
it in my hotel elevator above the entrance door in the light
i guess i figured they might not have my room avilale next time i'm in Cali and if i need a pipe hell i know where a nice stone pipe is that dont break like all the glass ones i broke. And i'm starting to make, glass pipes also,.. The main reason that glass pipes are better is because they are alot larger so u get a smoother hit,.. less heat on your throat ect,...[ i havnt seen any body making 7 inch stone pipes]

i have a stone chillum with carvings i smoke out of. Its nice.
