i'm not sure of the temps or anything but yes you need tempatures far greater than an oven can produce.....maybe you could try to (assuming you don't have a kiln..i mean it's not something that every kitchen has lol) look on google to see if you could substitute with a propane torch....i know the flames on those are atleast 1000 degrees'
slipknotpsycho Reviewed by slipknotpsycho on . Clay? I was thinking about making a new piece using clay as the bowl (I adhor metal bowls). Does anybody know anything about working with clay? Should I bake it (like in a kiln) or will I be ok smoking out of an 'unfinished' clay bowl? If anybody actually knows something about clay, can I bake it in a common kitchen oven? If so, at what temp for how long? Rating: 5
