Groden Rockwool 1.5in Waterfarm Question
Sup ,
Get rid of wrappers , bury in hydroton deep enough that the top of the cubes covered so algee doesn't grow on top of em .
Next grow look for 1 1/2 in sq. starter cubes w/o indiv. wrappers , they come in a sheet all attached . They are not as dense as the wrapped cubes and can push roots thru cubes twice as fast .
Airstones will help oxygenate the res and the water thats forced up drip colum/tubes . Your roots will eventually make it into the bottom container w/ airstone .
Look up waterfarm dwc club thread by Bluebear .
Tonsa good info.
Peace

Groden Rockwool 1.5in Waterfarm Question When placing a 1-2 week seedlings (roots probably 2-4 inches long from bottom end) into a GH waterfarm container, should I keep the plastic wrap on it? I was thinking, since the waterfarm drips, it sort of splashes a little everywhere, should I just keep it on to maybe preserve the rockwool's sides from getting wet? If keeping it on, would that interfer with its roots? 1.5 inch wrapped cubes are small, would it easily adapt a strong rooting system and explore ultimately towards the air Rating: 5
