yes, the qualities of good weed can vary depending on type... In general, crystals (sparkle) stickiness, brownish hairs (for some types) and strong smell. But for middle range stuff, it often has very little of any of that (besides the smell) so just make sure its good smelling, few seeds, and not a ton of stems...
