I always got a bit of either warning and stall them a bit while I prepared, or realized they were about to do it and turned a 180 on them.

When I got married, I needed more money than I was making at time, so I went to interview for another company and got the job, but they told me I had to quit my current job immediately, which was very rude in my opinion, I'm a firm believer in giving notice. But it would raised my wage significantly. So I told my old company that I had to quit because it was contingent on getting this other job. Instead of being mad, they made a counteroffer which was 1/4 more than what the other company offered me. I wanted a change of scenary at the time, so I went at the first day of orientation, filling paperwork and shit. While filling the forms, I realized I was about to be drug tested based on the language of their policies. So I left and went back to work, with significantly more pay and no test.

I hate not smoking you might or might not know it already, but I quit smoking on valentines day to snag a new job, since my hours werent so great and all that. today my boss told me that a bunch of people are getting fired and there will be more hours for me, and I have another review coming up so ill be getting a raise. now I want to smoke but im scared that some swell job offer will come cruising by and I wont be able to pass a test. what would you do?
