    question for the fluorescent growers?

    Dr Hashman,

Can't you just vent the heat and run the 12 hr lights only overnight? That's how I dealt with the heat when I had an indoor op in a garage in FL in the summer a few yrs back. Growing indoors sucks without real strong lights. Even 1000s can't compete with the sun, let alone FLs.
    good luck either way

    question for the fluorescent growers?

i would stongly disagree with the above statement on the sun being better then a 1000's wttr, as i have read the sun has 10,000 lumens per squarefoot, which up to you and how u want to destibute your hid's, so small grow with a 400wtter will do the same in a 4x4 space as the sun. Just a neat fact.

Yeah man get a cool tube and a blower and ur set. a blower alone could work depending on you space. i dont use vented hoods and my heat has always been ok even in a 4x2 space with 6 foot head room and i didnt exactly duct propperlly

    question for the fluorescent growers?

400 watt equal to the sun in 4X4 space? WTF?
I don't know what exactly the lumens per sq ft of the sun is. I think it probably depends on where you are in relation to the equator. I can tell you this for sure though: Anyone who has grown under a 400 and then grown outside in the SE can tell you there is absolutely no comparison. I could have been wrong about the 1000 though. The highest I ever tried was a 400 halide and a 250 HPS under the same reflector and the outdoor sun completely blows it away.
