Game warden is essentially a cop with nothing better to do... you can ask the judge for time payments,,,say you are unemployed and expect to get a job next month... give him a low number you can come up with monthly,,,then he will bring it up a bit,,,start really low...

On top of that, he set the court date for only 2 weeks later and expects us to have the cash ready by the date.

Actually you only have to have the ticket payed by then and then not have to go to court or else you go to court and then you'll probally get a reduction in fine and then they set a date that thats due ( usually 1-2 months )

when i got busted for possession my fines were in payments... it was just around 1,000, but they broke it up into 4 monthly payments.. maybe you can get the same thing..

I was told that here in the good ol' perfect state of South Carolina [/end sarcasm] that even with paying the fine, I could serve jail time (15 - 30 days), although it's not likely. However, if they DO decide to randomly pick me for jail time, I can request Pre-Trial Intervention. Apparently it's my ticket to get out of jail free on community service/rehab instead (yeah, like rehab is going to change my opinions on marijuana... not likely ). Either way, I'm doing what I can to fight this thing.

I wonder if after I've paid the fine and everything if I should say politely to him "Next time, could you write the word 'cannabis' instead of 'marijuana' on my ticket? It sounds a little racial." (lol, just a stoned thought. I wouldn't really do that.)

Anyways, just wish me luck everyone.
