Organic Insect Repellant??
I have just started growing outside and i've planted about 6 seeds, all have been eaten except for two dank seedlings that have been growing pretty well. Yesterday one of the seedlings had leaflets, came back, they were gone, so I know that some little fuckers have been munching on my damn plants. I just planted another seed today I expect to be planting many more. I just recently discovered a massive anthill a few yards away, think they might be the culprits? Anyway I'm making a run to a hardware store tomorrow(a small privately owned store, basically the same as a regular one such as home depot or lowe's just more downsized) and does anyone have any good organic insect repellants I should look for? I don't want anymore of my plants getting munched
I'd be really mad if my dank one's got eaten but the others were schwag seeds

I beleive its either ants or caterpillars, because there is a fatass ant hill next to my grow site and there have been many many caterpillars crawling around.

Organic Insect Repellant??
neem is the only organic pesticide I know of that is both a contact killer and also has some repellent properties. Give it a try. Just dont use it right before harvest.

Organic Insect Repellant??
use human hair..........that will keep rabbits and deer away if they could possibly be the problem
i dont think that will do anything as far as bugs go though.......the only thing i can come up with is to stomp out the ant hills real good

Organic Insect Repellant??
I'd go with the Neem too. I like to use it myself. Sombody said it works as a contact killer and also a repellent. Both are true, but it also acts somewhat as a fungicide. I really like the stuff.

are you guys talkin about neem oil? if so, i was reading that oils on the plant could cause burn on leafs if temps. get too high. Is this true? I'm just askin cause i might go with some neem oil if its ok for an outdoor grow that may have some high temps.

Organic Insect Repellant??
you can use neem oil outside in the heat but spray it at the end of the day right before the sun goes down. I don't recall ever having any buring this way. However, I have used it mainly in the spring and early summer.

Organic Insect Repellant??
Try some "Garden Safe" brand "Fruit and Vegetable Insect Spray" Worked very nicely on my mite problem (I sprayed every other day). It is pyrethrum and cannola oil in an inert base. Pyrethrum is a flower in the chrysanthamum family (I know i spelled that wrong, but I'm sick today and refuse to look it up!) It worked better than neem and didn't smell as bad. - Granny:hippy:
