uk composts soils ect
Hi all,
I'm a complete newbie but have done some reading up. My book says use a soil of PH 7.
My problem is that every compost,potting soil and germination mix that i've bought is slightly acid around 5.5-6.0
Is there a uk brand that i should be using or should i mix my own?
cheers in advance

no!!
dont gte miracle grow...
okay i aint sure, but i am prtty sure miracle grow is like total rubbish...
Now i am guessing you have the electric little thing that tests the ph, (it dont matter if you dont, whatever you are chekcing with take that)
go to B&Q, Wickes or homebase (or other garden shop like wilkinsons
)
and just rip a bit of the soil package and test to see which one suits you...
actually even better idea is to wait for more sensible answers lol or go to a a hydro shop where they can advise you quite well...
(if there arnt any locally i am sure you can google, or if you live in london go to Camden Town, Northen Line, North bit of zone 2)
but if you cant wait then go with what i said first
