Now that she has won House passage of legislation that would micromanage the way to defeat in Iraq, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi finds herself struggling to come up with a coherent policy toward Iran. So, talking to your "enemy" is definately not in your (or the Neocons) playbook. This is the policy of small minds. What is to be lost in conversing with Syria or Iran for that matter. I'll tell you what. We might have to make some concessions. Since when did disputes ever get settled with one way policies. These only lead to war and more war. Even the Guru of libertarians Ron Paul has suggested doing away with the CIA, the harbinger of all things evil to foriegn countries. We can no longer bully our way through the global community so a few elites can retain global power. We must wake up to the needs and policies of other nations and build a cohesive global partnership with the rest of the planet. We must recognize that other countries have the un-alienable right to pursue their own agendas as long as they don't interfere in our national interests, (and by this I don't mean corporate interests). It's about time someone from our government made an attempt to control this run-away neocon state that exists now, the plutocrats that are ruling the U.S. are bringing us to the brink of global meltdown. The right wing Christian zealots are charging full steam towards the Biblical Armegeddon they see so clearly in their pin-heads. The vision where the U.S. brings the end by thermonuclear warfare in the middle east, and then as Bushco says, it will follow us home.
