Why not have a delete post option?

Like 1-2 minutes after you post you can have the option to delete it. I'm stoned right now and I make mistakes. Like alot of times i'll post something stoned and be like damn I posted this on the wrong board. So it saves the moderators some time that way by helping them out.

I don't want to go on a rant here but America's foreign policy makes about as much sense as Beowulf having sex with Robert Fulton at the first Battle of Antietam. I mean, when a neo-conservative defenestrates it's like Raskolnikov filibuster deoxymonohydroxinate.

First I really don't see a time when a member is going to be able to delete their own posts or threads. Next, save the rant for the politics forum please.

    Have a good one!

There is now a 10 min. edit time......isn't that enough to protect yourself from the evil mods? LMAO!!! How is it CC's fault if you can't control what you post?

Deleting posts and threads is the moderators duty. I understand your position from your standpoint but try to look at what a nightmare it would cause us. Not to mention the internal workings....I think they would have to make all users mods in order to do such a thing.....Skink probably knows better on that one. SKINK!!!

As for accounts being deleted. With post counts, rep system it's not only affecting that user but anyone that posted in that users threads.

but if it was possible to have the accounts deleted the users name would come up "annouymous" so there would be no need to delete all them seperate posts from there? true the rep system would be slightly affected but sure WHO CARES? lol

I didn't realize the edit time was 10 min....thought it was five. I'd think ten minutes is plenty of time to be sorry for what you've written, lol.

We now have 10 min to change our post,,,we just got that... Give someone a leg and they want the whole chicken...

If you don't consider your post appropriate you have the ability to erase the whole thing and leave "Removed" or even "..."

Deleting posts would damage the continuity of the site. A few here or there is understandable...for good reasons...but if everyone was allowed to do that...wouldn't half the site be gone? And most of the threads wouldn't make sense.

I think the edit time is sufficient. Now 10 minutes?! Whoa...more than sufficient. Beware what you post.
