Exactly what I was thinking. Job interview, meeting your girlfriend/boyfriend's parents, and being introduced at family parties are the few times where I feel comfortable with a firm handshake.

Negro clasps are always fun.

I've allways been taught that a firm hand shake is very important. I hate when some one shakes your hand and its limp. A handshake truly tells a lot about that person. My Dad hated my sisters x-husband the moment they first shook hands, the guy hand a limp fish handshake.
The funniest thing is when you see a huge guy, then you goto shake his hand and its like shaking hands with a little boy...its sad really lol

LOL...I didn't realize so many of you put that much into shaking hands.
I usually wait to at LEAST talk to them first ya know...
And yeah, if a person tries too hard and squeezes my hand like I'm some child, THAT would make me think less of them.
But then again, Hank Hill hates a weak handshake, so maybe I'm in the wrong here.

I'd have to agree with a lot of people here and say 10. My father stressed the handshake quite a bit.

How important is a firm handshake?
yeh i heard thatIt's always good to have a fight and end it with a pint of larger and a joint in the car on the way home.
Which is why i dont understand people who go out pickin fights for no reason, havin a little punch-up with someone you know is fine, just as long as its friendly rivalry, when i have to fight people i dont know its different, usually if i am in that position i have the mentality to fight for real, then afterwards i look back and think 'why didnt i just walk away'.. i have two sides, one side of me wants to be an ideot, and wont let me walk away from a fight, and the other side of me is just a normal kid tryin to change...
its hard to know what im really thinkin, my brain will be tellin me to do somethin, but i wont be sure if thats what i REALLY want to do... maybe im crazy... mwahahaha...
