Ouch caps! man.. ur indoor bible should tell you everything if not do a search in the forum or on google! it you want a medium that’s already had a certain amount of feed put in it (which i wouldn’t use as ul prob burn ur seedlings) go to your local garden center, That kind of compost has recently taken off for veggie growers!

i use a soiless mix (1/3 perlite,1/3 vermiculite,1/3 (coco couir or peat moss))
works great, its soiless so has no nutrients, all nutes must be added yourself, gives you control over the nutrients you plant gets, easy as hell

Cuz you are new to growing I would suggest using A SOILESS Mix (ProMix, Coco, Sunshine4) Whatever. Its easier to control what your plants gets food wise. Save the compost for another grow when you have a bit of experience under your belt.

Pick any good Nutes (FoxFarm , botanicare) they both are excellent with extensive detailed Feeding Scheduals on their web sites.

Good luck keep us all posted!!!
