My first Closet grow...

Hey all just wanted to share with the great people of this forum that I have officially started my first grow with some help from a friend I hope that everything goes well im growing in a closet about 3ft high and 2 ft in width and about 16in deep....using 4 cfl cool blue's at 13watts each and two other cfls at 75w for germ and vegging i think these lights should sufficient...will transfer to an hps of 400w for flowering stage.....cab is setup with mylar sheets to maximize lighting....

....started the paper on plate process last night and have 2 seeds that popped out of 4 planted 2 are DUTCH PASSION BB and the other is S.A.G.E as of now the 2 that popped were the S.A.G.E strain which i have planted in two 8in pots and put under the cfls and will be on for 24-7 for a total of 10days......pictures will be up to show cab and progress please bare with me and feel free to share any tips for this N00be......thanx

is that dp's blueberry? those are two great strains! i have one sage i kept as a mom, very spacey!

why such a short veg time? are you trying to get a harvest as early as possible? or just afraid of space requirements?

also, what type of ventilation do you have, and what kind of nute are you going to be using?

Hello Scarlet Sky thanx for responding and checking out my log yes my strains are Dutch Passion BB and S.A.G.E both excellent strains I was told.....My reason for vegging for such a short period of time is I would like to see what kind of a harvest I can yield and also space is limited to me......As for ventilaton im working on getting an inline fan and hooking it up for the proper ventilation...

Just wanted to give an update of my progress on my first grow.....Its day 3 and I have 4 seedlings and already I have 2 out of 4 break the surface one is the SAGE and the other seedling is my Dutch passion Blue berry.....the other too seedlings have not broken thru the dirt yet but im thinking by today there should be breaking the surface too.....seedlings been under the cfls for 3 days on 24hrs straight.....I will post my pics tonight as im looking for any help that can be provided on keeping everything running smoothly...and withought pics u guys and gals really wouldnt be able to help as much....

:jointsmile: Here a couple crappy pics of my setup need to invest in a better camera...lol.....all four seedlings have hatched and are poking through the soil.....pic that is shown is of my Dutch passion bb the others are to small for the camera to catch.....

looks good hayze, but might i ask how you are venting that cab? i see no fans... that's a good looking setup there, i see mylar, which tells me you've done some homework.

one suggestion though... try getting those tube flouro's above the little ones as opposed to side lighting...

THanx Scarlet for the kind response and for checking out my cab....I do have a fan mounted at the top of the cab but am noticing that my temps are a bit too warm giving the readings im getting from therm.....temps fluctuate between 75 to 81...going to need to get my vent system up and running to cool those temps......down any help u can provide will be much appreciated.......

Thanks Scarlet I appreciate u going out of ur way to draw a diagram for me to get a better understanding as to what i need to do......Looks like I will be making a trip to my local lowes to get some of the supplies....:jointsmile:
