I'm going to say this to you because I think it needs saying, Breuk. If you find these terms so offensive, then you clearly need to plan to spend time someplace else where your delicate--and strangely contradictory--sensibilities are not going to be offended by reading them.
Something's up with you. Not sure if it's because you're actually deeply unhappy about some aspect of your own life or what. But in recent weeks, you've been determined to find "exterior" things here to take issue with. And it seems like what you really need to do is fix the only thing you have any real control over, which is much more limited: it's simply your own reaction. If you have a personal aversion to the two terms in question, the solution is quite simple. You are perfectly welcome to provide examples of what you think are my deficiencies in tolerance, but I doubt that they are as bad as the hatred shown toward the working class people called "Rednecks" - unless you're talking about radical, militant Islamic jihads and their supporters.
A number of other people agree with me that it is wrong to allow "Redneck" and similar insults, and ban other racist words.
If you don't like my posts, then you can "stop reading" them as well.

I see your point BA, but anyone would think your trying to get banned. It's been said that it wont be changed, so we must accept it and move on. I hate this saying, but in this case its true - sticks and stones and baseball bats will break my bones but words will never hurt me. It's just letters on the internet.

Actually, all I've done is argue with you. You feel threatened by that. And so you regard it as an attack. It's much easier to call me an elitist or a snob than to actually look at yourself, isn't it?
LIP is right. Are you really wanting to get banned?\"That best portion of a good man\'s life: his little, nameless, unremembered acts of kindness and love.\"

I think this has all got a little heated and we all need to take a step back and try and bury all this bad feeling - and that's comming from me of all people.
