So how did you manage to overcome that lack of confidence?

Expanding your comfort zone bit by bit. Example, if you aren't comfortable hitting on hot girls, start with ones that are um, less than desireable. Build up from there.

But confidence comes from within you. Doings things that make you feel good, and feeling comfortable in your own skin and realizing it's okay to be weird and yourself. While strangers might be like "hey man he's weird, he isn't cool" the people who do care and you befriend will love you more.

Ok, so I've been friends with this girl for 6 or 7 months now, but we weren't really good friends until recently. I realized I liked her maybe a month ago but haven't said anything because I'm a pussy. She told me the other day that I'm her best guy friend, and that she feels really comfortable with me and can talk to me about anything, and that she realized we don't know a whole lot about each other becuase we usually only talk in classes and out of classes it' usually about school stuff. She said we need to talk a lot more and learn about each other. Even though we don't know much about each other, we still feel so comfortable with each other. I have always felt something when I'm with her that, I dunno, we just click the right way or something, but I don't know if she feels that.

Anyway, from what she said does it sound like I'm in the "friend zone," or if I have a chance with this one? Any advice would be nice thanks.

Keep doing what your doing, her saying that you should talk more is a good sign. She realizes you two click as well, just continue to do things with her, and if things develop into more then a friendship then thats how it will happen. Don't pressure anything just be yourself around her.

You're probably not in the friend's zone yet, but you can't wait too long, or you'll get there. Make a lot of eye contact with her, it's a really good way to judge how she's feelin about the situation. If she looks into your eyes when you do, you should be able to tell if it's making her happy, uncomfortable, or nothing. If you think she's feeling it, kiss her immediatly. If she wasn't sure if she liked you, that'll probably help her decide quickly, and being as she's a good friend, the worst reaction would probably be an easy let down. I doubt that though.
