I expected the Suns to win this game. Because they really needed this game for confidence and to defend their home court. I didn't expect them to blow them away though..126-104 and shoot 64.8% from the floor. The Mavs hold a 6 game lead over the Sun for best in the west and I still think in a 7-game series that Dallas will prevail in the end with home court.

I didn't sweat the game too much, It still wasnt fun watching Nash and Stoudemire tire us up.. But I have a feeling this isnt gonna be the last time these two teams meet again.

Yeah kevin willis would be the oldest active player if he is picked up. He did not play in the 05-06 season.

Reasons not to like the mavs

1. Booing of Finley. How classless are mavs fans? How can you possibly boo a person who played NINE seasons duing the DARKEST of times and averaged 20pts/game. Never would San Antonians boo Avery Johnson.

2. Remember the 04 playoffs where Dirk openly ripped Dampier. He is not a team captain. A team captain would not do that. I prefer someone who leads by example.

3. Avery Johnson (nuff said)

4. How big of a bonehead move was it to trade Steve Nash....possibly The Games best pointguard of all time.

5. Not really a gripe, as it is obvious. Having Avery Johnson is like having Gregg Poppovich's play book.



I'll get off my soapbox, but I will never boo avery johnson and no other self respecting spurs fan ever will. Go Spurs Go

Record means absolutely nothing in the playoffs.

I think its funny how people write off the spurs all the time. Everyone knows that the spurs play their best ball during the playoffs. Thats what a veteran club is. Its not so much that the spurs cannot be beaten.....but can they be beaten 4 times? Very difficult.

Way to rep the West last year with that piss poor performance in the finals.

I am more afraid of the Suns than the mavs. Once again, everyone would be singing a different tune if GINO hadn't fouled dirk. Save that stupid foul, Spurs would have put the heat away in the finals and repeated. Lets not lie to each other.

The West did suck last year, really badly. Keep in mind that what made it even more sad is that the East teams aren't really as good as most of the teams on the West.

What you witnessed was a collapse by a non-championship team. Never underestimate what a kobe wannabe and shaq-daddy with 4 rings can do.
