How to clean your peace.

I thought this might be useful. I couldn't find it in the stickies...okay so if its there sue me.

All you need is your dirty pipe, a bottle of rubbing alcohol, and table salt.

Clean the heavies as best as possible first.

Then drop [for a spoon or small bubbler say] about two or three full spoon fulls of salt inside the pipe. Followed with about an ounce of rubbing alcohol [definitely more for large bongs...this is only for glass too].

The trick is to be able to shake it without spilling the contents. I used to use corks to plug up holes [sorry, I guess you need to get corks too, or improvise]

Shake away. If you keep this up, it is easy and effective [daily to about every other day].

If you only clean once and a while, it is not as effective. The hardened resin in the tough to reach spots will be real hard to get out.

Sometimes you may find that you dump out the first mix and re clean it right way. Its common, specially for peeps who don't clean regularly.

But, if you clean everyday like this, your pipe will stay as clean as the day you bought it.

No heating required. A quick rinse with water ensures nothing is left inside.

Again, I can't stress enough, clean clean clean daily.

There is nothing worse than smoking some good herbs in a clean pipe.

PS I have heard of people using acetone [nail polish remover]. Well, I always wondered why my buddies pipe tasted funky. The rubbing alcohol and salt won't leave residual smells or tastes, and costs about 2 dollars in total.

And, I am not responsible for people who tragically lose their grip.

You don't have to clean daily, there are methods that get your pipe as good as new with only cleaning every few months.

some people prefer a clean pipe, and I will admit, the salt is new to me, but good idea, glad I saw this post.
