For those that say its just me....thats bs....I know what Im capable of and what Im not, and I KNOW FOR A FACT THE DAY AFTER I GET HIGH IM RETARDED WHILE STUDYING THE NEXT DAY and for the poster who said if I keep smoking daily then I wont get the sideeffects.....thats acutally true but the problem with that is I stop feeling the high too which makes it pointless to burn the green, atleast to me. I might try going to the gym and running, and see if that might help the side effects I feel because metabolism is a huge factor.

Well... for that I recommend spacing out pot smoking and studying 24 hours apart... because if you smoke the day before your still probably going to feal sorta dumb the next day studying because the after affects of weed last any where from 2 - 24 hours.... and your probably having a hard time studying because it has not been 24 hours since you last smoked and your still fealing the after affects while studying... oh and also if your not a regular user the after effects can last up to 2 days

I agree with lazy smoker. Great point. Develop a study habit/strategy that works for you. I never was able to develop a great way of studying that works for me. 2.0 and stay baby.

Nothing is harmless. But cannabis is probably the least harmful substance known to man. Less harmful than aspirin.

I havent read all the posts but damn, he didnt say he gets high and then studies, he said if he smokes and studies on the next day or the day after he cant remember anything. I believe its true, since my brother told me about it seriously, and its not blaming stuff on weed, its just observing facts. And I think that its not the same on everyone but that just tends to happen.

Now I have been smoking pot since I was about 16 (mostly on weekends) and on a daily basis just 3 months ago(now 19). I always feel normal after I smoke, but I start forgetting things without even realizing it. I would leave my car headlights on, forget to lock my appt, lose keys, and even lost my phone either while I was high or at least the same day. And since I am a college student, I thought I could smoke whenever I dont need to study. The problem with this is that suppose I smoke Saturday, or even Friday and have an exam Monday morning, I would stare at my notes for hrs on Sunday trying to study but in the end I would accomplish nothing and do horribly the next day. The only way I can get through school and not fail my exams, is if I give myself a 3-7 day smoke free period where I can regain my concentration and memory skills. Ive heard people say I dont need to do this and my friends would give me adderall, ritalin, or tell me to drink coffee but the truth is that none of this crap works. I guess I dont notice these things till I became a pothead, so has anyone else had similar experiences????

Just stop going to college. I know that seems like obscenely bad advice, but it seems like it's very stressful for you. IF that's now how you feel, then I would recommend smoking weed before and on your test days. A psychologist once let me in on a studying tip and that is: Do what you do while you're studying and do the same thing when you're taking the test. I suppose it enhances your memory? Magic!-I tell you!

If you have a problem with doing anything, and you think marijuana is to blame, then maybe you should stop smoking. You can blame pot all you want for any problems you may be having in life, yeah its a little harder to get things done while stoned (and apparently after for some people) but it's still possible, if you are one of the people who CAN NOT get things done after smoking then just don't smoke.

You know what it does to your body, use that knowelge but don't blame.

It's harder for me to read a book while toking up, but if i make the mistake of toking before i read, i will either read high and take notes, or shrug it off until later, but i still take care of business.

I'm in high school and sometimes I do my homework while high...perf. examp., last year I was having trouble in math, and for some reason when I was high I looked at the homework and I tried a problem and I finally understood it...it's really different for all people though
