yeah i agree with LIP about the name, i don't like calling it marijuana either, it has such negative connotation attached with it.

Very true! Marijuana and Weed both sound negative. If you said to a random person, "I am going to go smoke some Cannabis," they might think nothing of it. But if you said, "Yo dude, I'm going to go smoke some Marihuana," it would sound bad. I've thought about this too. Also notice that just about any slang word for any drug has a negative cannatation, I mean connotation.
