Survivorman

Ya, baer Grills is the guy on discovery channel from man vs. wild. Man vs. wild is a little more lame if you ask me. Baer narrates the show by telling the audience what wouldn't be a good idea to do in a certain situation, and then either demonstrates it or comes dangerously close. He does things like eat raw fish and such for dramatic purposes I think rather than for survival purposes. Baer does all the camera work himself and does not operate with a crew.

Survivorman is a little different in that the dude seems a little more seasoned and worried for his life and well being. There are instances where even though the discovery channel crew is close by, or knows his wareabouts, he could still be killed in an instant and nobody would ever know. Survivorman uses what is likely to be available to someone in a situation such as his and shows you how to deal with it. He doesn't eat raw or gross things just for the shock factor, obviously as seen in the instance where he ate elephant shit and then found water 10 mins later. Survivorman also does the camera work himself and does not operate with a camera crew.

oddly enough lol, man vs wild just came on after my post so i held it there to check who's who... i've been mostly watching survivor man... i still dunno what adventures were what... but he was def. not the dude i've been used to seeing...

Baer does have a camera crew right in the beggining it says "I have a camera crew following me but they have strict orders not to interact with me unless my life is in danger."

I'm pretty sure surviorman really is on his own and the crew has no idea about hes wear abouts unless he got a GPS or something.

hmm, I thought baer was by himself. All the more reason not to like it
