Probably too late to be installing chicken wire unless you want to move out the plants while you work it in. I use bailing wire to train and tie down branches. It's stiff enough to bend a loop around the stem then push into the soil or clip to the edge of the pot and is also good stuff for hang drying. It's sold in rolls for very cheap and is a lot easier to work with than hangers but are of a similar gauge wire and will not cut through the stems. Any hardware store carries it.
