Freeganism is basically economic veganism, its a method of challenging capitalism by the efforts to consume and buy as little as possible. that's like...I donno. I always see the bums digging in the trash in our town...do you have a job? cause it sounds like you're trying to do something cool and all, but you might be a bit better buying the food..like clean or whatever. that's what most people do.

OP, do you climb by any chance? i noticed the headlamp. in the "dirtbag" (excuse the expression) climbing community, dumpster diving is an art

i jsut realized that i've never told anyone outside my own close friends that i routinely raid dumpsters ,not even my own parents, i guess its a little embarrassing. but i have no qualms about telling everyone here.....

but why do you have to LABEL yourself? give yourself a name like "freegan". can't you just be you, and you do what you do? i feel it's an epidemic these days in America that people, mostly young people, have a compelling need to label themselves, but themselves in a box, and belong to a group. it just rubs me the wrong way; and that's my two pennies

i like to say "undefine your boundaries". isn't labeling/dividing the very thing that's causing devision and strife in our world? anyone, i'm done; many happy dives to ya.
