Okay, I may be wrong maybe someone can back me up on this. But don't cops need a warrant to search something locked? So just carry your stuff in a lockbox and hope they don't get a search warrant.

I'm also not 100%, but I'm pretty sure you're right. This would go on include your glove compartment and your trunk as well. Unless of course, like you said, a warrant...but they can't get a warrant if you're not doing anything fishy anyway.

Correct me if I'm wrong as well.

Law passed Hey waddup, they just passed a law in my state (Ohio) that allowes the police to search anyone they think might have something on them at stop lights and stop signs. Now is that fucked up or what, i live in a kinda small town and the cops think that i sell drugs and what not. So im fucked cause theres one cop here who will abuse this to the full extent. and then they have to do a drug test in which i would refuse and request a blood test in the hospital. and when it came back negitive then they have NO grounds and you have documented proof.

as a michigan driver i hate driving in ohio aside from the nice smooth roads but they need a warrant for the glovebox when locked, the trunk unless you dont have one, and bookbags. Or if you give them permission. or my favorite if they say "i smell weed". A.K.A. probable cause. but if they don't find anything after saying and searching you could have some fun with the cop *menacing laugh*

See thats the reason why i posted this on here, and no they arnt going to be standing at any lights or signs its just if they think you look suspicios then they can pull you over and search without a warrent or your consent. I read a whole article about this law in the newpaper.
