    ***HELP APPRECIATED!***

Alright, so today was a pretty lucky day. Just yesterday me and my buddy were talking about growing a plant, just getting it over with and starting it up, and we both agreed we wanted a smaller plant to start off with. Just our luck, a friend of ours has been growing a plant on his roof for about some time now, and needed a new place to have it to make sure his parents didnt ruin it. So today we laid eyes on this plant, it looks nice, our friend says it started flowering roughly 3-4 weeks ago. It's deffiantely a small plant, its been kept in a relatively small pot with good soil, so our next job is repotting it into another, larger container. That along with putting the plant in a proper location, for the entirety of its life I'm told it has been kept outside on the roof, so its been getting a 12-12 cycle.

Alright well heres the point of this thead, I need as much help from people who have done this before. Right now we have the plant inside, in a nook in my friends closet, we are planning on just running a ghetto set up and housing some flourecesent lights around it, with aluminum foil all around it, and keeping it with a 24 hour light source during flowering, but for all we know this could be horribly wrong. This is where you come in, what would you guys recomend at a time like this, any specific soil that will help it? Any nutrients that it will really need? Anything I should be carefull about specifially? Also, I've heard of sugar helping plants out, should I just mix sugar into the water its watered with and apply it like that, or is their another way? As you can tell I can completely clueless and help is GREATLY appreciated!

    Okay, where to start.

Okay, your buddy has had it on 12/12 for 3-4 weeks. Now, that is the flowering cycle, and 3-4 weeks in, it should have buds forming on the plant. If there are no buds, it isn't flowering.

You can't switch the light cycle to 24 hours because 12 hours on, 12 hours off, IS the flowering period. You switch the lighting time, it will go back to the vegetative stage. That will result in massive stress for the plant, and will result in getting a hermi plant (both male and female plant matter, females are ONLY good for smoking). You get a hermi plant, that will result in seeded buds, and once seeds start to form, THC production stops.

So if it has buds and has been flowering for 3-4 weeks, keep it on 12/12, not on 24 hours as that WILL ruin the grow.

Second, it has been out in the natural sunlight, and you want to put in back inside, under some floro lights? No, that will result in stress as weel, and you could RISK turning the plant hermi. Changing it's environment will stress it out.

Changing pots in the middle flowering will result in stress as well.

To put this simple, if it's flowering and has buds, you don't want to re-pot it now, you don't want to change the light cycle, and if you do bring it inside, put it under HPS lighting. Floro lights are only really good for vegetative stage. You can flower with them, but it has been outside, and that transition could ruin it completly.

So I would find a spot and leave it outside and keep the lighting cycle to 12/12, unless you really want to mess it up.

Sugar won't help a growing plant as the roots simply won't take it in, plus it slows down the fert. process and feeding.

    Ferts needed:

Vegetative stage: Something high in N (N-P-K) eg. 5-1-1

Flowering stage: Something high in P and K eg. 10-15-10, or 15-30-15

I sometimes help them and reply, but most of the time, I just tell them to do a search. This person was in special need of some help though, so I thought I'd give them a hand. I'm thinking of putting the search feature right in my sig.

I forgot to suggest the growing forums here. Read read and read some more. Post if you wish, but try doing a search first because these answers you are looking for, are out there.

    It takes some patience though.

    Good luck!

Listen the reason I posted something like this is because I have no clue about growing pot. I know the basics and thats it, I've just smoked it till now.

Time for the impending tragedy you probably already saw coming... we already re-potted it into better soil, just because we wanted better growth in the plant, I keep suggesting nutrients for the plants but Owner-X says nay. What are the exact names of some shit I can buy and just do it myself. Is it really THAT bad to bring it inside, I have heard of several grows starting at a windowsill and ending up in a closet with some fluorescents and doing well for a small little stash. Thats all we really want out of this thing, its our little beginner, and the next grow me and another friend are deciding to do it right and grow a better plant.

I will post pictures after work, the dialup here sucks for uploading.

Alright, well some good news, the plant seems to be taking well to the indoor switch, and having been repotted, although I know it was not the smartest thing to be doing to it. So no need to flame me for it  . Enjoy the peektures, by the way, what nutrients should we feed it? Stuff I can find at any local store preferably, also how much water should this little guy be getting? Thanks. Notice the purple stems on picture 2

*Edit* Pictures still arent working, damn, I'll upload em later after I hit tha bank.
