    just made some butter

    just made like 3 or 4 tbsp of some bud butter with some nice ass dank.

    imma spread it on some toast this saturday morning before i go on a plane ride to the NYC.

    bad idea? lol

    i prolly wouldnt do it right before u get on a plane lol they might not let u go


    id try saving it till u get to wherever ur goin (if u want to risk bringing it).....and im not sure how long the butter stays good....ive never made it before

    well i just ate about 1/2-1 tsp. worth. i'll see how i'm feeling in a little bit.

    we had about 2-2.5 g's and cooked it with a couple tbsps of butter.

    those of you who are experienced...how baked do you think i'll get?

    on a scale of 1-10, that is lol

    so it's 10:37...and i took the first tsp at 7:00...and then another tbsp or so at 9:00...and i'm STILL not feeling anything.

    did we make it wrong?

    i mean, we had maybe 1/4 stick of butter or more and somewhere near 2 g's. we had the stove up just high enough to keep the butter melted, but not so it was boiling. we had it on that for maybe 10-15 minutes. i stirred it around a good bit, too.

    should i have eaten it all?

    yeah, this shit definately didn't work.

    so now idk what i'm going to do.

    maybe just call it quits on the whole stoned airplane ride operation and just save it for another time?

    i only have one bowl left. that's it.

    and i can't spend anymore money to get more, (i have to buy birthday presents)

    You definitely should have had the temperature up. You want the mixture of oil/water/bud to be at 100°C (boiling point of water). You don't have to worry about the THC vaporising off, because it doesn't vape until 190°C or higher. Just as long as you keep some water in the pan, the entire mixture will never get higher than the boiling point of water. Also you need to simmer it long enough for all the cells of the plant (that you ground up, right?) to break and release the goodies.

    You want to simmer the butter with the cannabis, about Mark 4 on the stovetop, or 170degC.

    You have to use butter too. You didn't use margerine, did you? because that will not work. Only real butter will work, and it has to simmer lightly for about 15-30 minutes.
