Like that peach tree, some strains of weed probably just won't give you a great end product. A correct grow/cure might yield nicer looking, and better smoking buds but there's no gaurantee they'll be as potent as a top strain grow by the same person. If that was the case why would anyone care about strains at all??

I would think it's much more accurate to say

    Incorrect grow=shitty pot
Correct growing conditions=potential for high quality pot

That may be true Fengzi but your peach tree isn't one of the highest cash crops in the U.S. now is it? Of course poor genetics will more than likely yield poor results but who in the hell would be using poor genetics when people want bang for their buck? Everyone is trying to get the potent shit. I'd have to agree more with Chowder on this one.

Btw seeds coming from schwagg being mature is VERY probable to grow potent buds. You need to understand the whole basics of cultivation to understand this but it's not hard at all to understand that just because you have schwagg weed doesn't mean the seeds you plant that you found in your purchase won't grow good plants.

anywhoo, i guess it all depends on what stage you are in your growing career.
personally, i stopped seeing schwagg around 2000 in PA(i think). (nugs at least came into it's prime).
a noob might wanna grow schwag bagseed, but a journeyman might only accept the rare bagseed you get from from your proven strains. whereas a lvl.60+ will only grow seeds from a holland seed dist.

on the other hand i would think that high quality seeds somehow equating to schwagg would at least have some characteristics of the HQ. hmm, someone should try an experiment.

btw- im all stoned with one of those bomb "slightly more expensive" eighth's at the club herb. so what i've said might not make sense.:stoned:

olol yeah man, im not saying i would grow shwagg, if i was gonna grow i would definatley buy seeds off a site, but i was just saying that some sseds can surpise you lol

I totally understand that, just because the seed came from a bag of schwagg, it doesn't mean that seed can't produce a fantastic plant with high quality weed. All I'm saying is that just because a person is a good grower, it doesn't mean he can take any old bag seed and come up with an entry to the Cannabis Cup every time.

I hope a proven strain makes for better weed as I just ordered some Northern Lights seeds from Hemp Depot. I have done 2 different grows from bagseed, one was good-great, the other was barely smokable.
But why wouldn't you order seeds, I mean 10 NL seeds only cost me $45 from the Joey Weed line. Then genetics is just one less variable in the grow you have to worry about.

Ha ha! When I first saw that, I thought you said Home Depot. I thought, you can buy cannabis seeds at Home Depot now.

Buying seeds is a good way to go after research. You have to pick a good seedbank to start with, but I mean you can take 4 of those 10 seeds, 50/50 chance of male or female, so 3 or 2 female plants. Mother them, and with proper care, a mother plant can supply a good thousand or so clones. With 2 or 3 female mother, hello! 2000 or 3000 female clones right there.

Luckily for me I never had to buy any. I was lucky enough to find some awesome traders, and once you start with 2 seeds, you can easily produce hundreds more. :stoned: Yowza!

shwag...reggs...w/e u call it is weed grown horribly along with not drying and curing it correctly. believe it or not...any strain...white widow, AK47, jack herer or w/e all can be regs or shwag. a lot of idiots buy high priced seeds thinking since its so much money it will definetally turn out good. long story short, they cant grow and they end up with shwag, wasting their money. personally i find it more fun growing with random bagseed...who knows where it came from but if u grow it nicely, you can end up with some amaaaaaazing mystery bud.

im sorry but u really feel ur absolutly wrong. ive proven that myself. ive been growing for about 4 years and i just started using comercial strains this year. ive turned shit into gold. theres even a couple members here who grew bagseed and came out with phenominal looking plants. wish i saved that thread. anyways....i feel its 100% in the growers hands how the weed comes out.

You can either buy seed of something good (Widow, ect.), or you can gamble on some swag/bag seeds. Personally, I have a thread on a bagseed that I am growing, it looks way better than the buds I got them from. I have considered growing swag seeds, but when you really think about it, why gamble? A swag seed will never be as good as a widow seed, if they are grow exactly the same. All buds are differant in their own way. . .

The only thing you have to remember is the plant will never look the same as the bud you got it from, and there is only one way to find out. Who knows what you might find. . .
