what breed should I get?
I'm moving in with my boyfriend this summer and we want to get a small dog, but we dont know what breed we want. We're thinking max. 15 lbs. I'd like something that doesnt shed but I could deal with a little bit of hair as long as it wasnt out of control. We're going to be living in the city so theres a good chance people may want to pet him on walks and stuff so it needs to be fairly friendly. I'm not a fan of dogs that snore because I already know I'll let it sleep in bed with us. Any ideas on what we should get?

an Olde Boston Bulldogge! Bigger than what you are looking for, and hard to find (only 3 breeders on the continent that I am aware of), but an AMAZING animal- real big dog personality in a smaller size and very smart.
If not that, then a Boston terrier, French bulldog, or an English bulldog, even though bullies often snore, they are just way too awesome. Clean, calm, trustworthy when left alone, good with kids, and easy to train. I have a bigger bully breed and will never have another type of dog! They're perfect.

my boyfriend wants to get a pug but some people a few houses away from my parents have like 9 of them (I think they might be breeders) and they are so loud. I dont know if its because they just put them in the back yard half the day or what, but I dont want a dog that acts like them. They get out a lot too and just cause trouble. Thats the only pug experience I have though so if you think pugs are different than what I described please tell me. I really wouldnt be surprised if the ones near me were just acting that way because they're bored/ignored all day.
