Public's attitude toward federal government policy towards cannabis...

After watching this C-SPAN clip, I noticed something. Not one damn caller supported the criminal status of cannabis. These people do not have support of the American people! How do these schmucks stay in power?

I fullheartedly believe that a majority of the U.S. opposes the illegality of cannabis. The reason they are able to stay in power, is because the general public does not make their views known. I write to my legislators(both missouri and illinois) on a weekly basis regarding the issue. I encourage everyone to do the same. We have the numbers, we will win. This will be a slow process, but democracy will prevail eventually.

    That was a mood-lifter.
My guess is about 15 years for full legalization in at least 5 of the liberal states.

I think even less than that. One big factor is the internet. Thesedays, people have unlimited access to information and actual scientific studies that prove that nearly everything the ONDCP and DEA say about cannabis is a blatant lie. With the rate that public opinion has changed in recent years, the amount of municipalities that have legalized cannabis possession, and how close the statewide initiatives have come recently...I think it will be less than 15 years.

But seriously, practically nobody agrees with these fascists...
