SO the one flowering plant had some PH Issues. I have noticed that this strain does not fend as well as others when Ph is out of Wack. I believe I have fixed the problem but Ill see when a check my run off next watering. it could also be a heat issue, As latly my temps have been getting above 80 frequently. I'd bet its a combo of both.

The second (Afgan) more bushier plant has the same soil PH (Low) and it is not as affected. I really wish I had trimmed alot of the useless parts of the plant off before i started flowering. Next time I will rember.

And below... My Smash Berrry and Papya plants.. Which Soon will be trimmed up and moved to the top of the Box. (Well only 2 of them) the other two will die. Male or female.

Im a little bummed about the Ph thing, It seems with Promix Its a tough battle to keep it in check. those smaller plants are in a compost potting soil mix as opposed to Promix. Im hoping they do better. As well previously I used Pur Blend Pro Every watering. I am now going to switch this cycle to a feed feed water cycle. I hope this will help..

Quick question for any Botanicare Pure Blend Pro Users... Or anyone really...

Do my PLants look like they need more food? Not the flowering ones, They look like they need more of a better PH hahahahaha

But the smaller plants. I'm finding I am using very little of Fertz, Im wondering if I am hurting myself when its time to flower. cuz the plants might not have enough stored nutes.

for example. they suggest to use. 15ml for veg growth,, im using like 5ml untill flowering. (Im pariniod of burning) I have yet to ever burn my plants But maybe Im not giving them enough of what they need to carry them through flowering?

Like to me my small plants look healthy and lush green But perhaps they could be even greener.... plus have more nitrogen during flowering as my leaves usually yellow after the 4th week orr so,,,

TO be honest even during flowering Im only using about 10-15ml of Pur Blen Bloom when recomended is 30ml.

Anyone else use the Botanicare line at full strength?

not really, they look very as lush as a bored trophy wife with a bottle of gin in her hand!

only some nutes are really 'stored', the mobile ones, that the plant can move around, like how it can use N stored in fan leaves.

I have yet to ever burn my plants But maybe Im not giving them enough of what they need to carry them through flowering?

you don't want to overdo it for a couple reasons; n overdose for example can make new growth TOO lush and weak and put the plant at risk for pest attacks. but at least in hydro, people take their nutes ppm up to the point where burn occurs and then ease back, finding the 'sweet spot'. yours looks very good... why stress it!

as i said too much lushness is dangerous. as for during flower, what I was doing that worked well was to mix some fish emulsion into the SOIL at the final transplant and as the plants roots grew into it, it would become available, and yellowing wasn't an issue. something to consider.

yeah foxysox does but shes in coco so it's a different ballgame

I might try and switch back to COCO now that I have a bit more experience growing stuff I have been using it with house plants and Its working out pretty good, Just as well as Peat and compost. well not quiet as well but pretty close.

I think that not having a transplant is really whats hurting me, In terms of PH and bad soil. The salt buildup is probs pretty huge, Considering the buildup of Salts I see on the Lid of the container etc.

I really don't want to have to do a transplant since I grow in such small areas. Small pots help me manage space better. etc. But this is somthing I will have to look into I think. Or perhaps checking out a flushing solution might be in order. Or switching to ffeed , water, feed , water schedual. instead of feeding with every watering.


On A side note
I got some of the Fox Farm Marine cusine yesterday for my balcony Veggies etc. It looks pretty cool. The guy said If I mix that food with a soil mix its basically FoxFarms Marine soil mix.

feed-water-feed isn't really necessary... I think you can fert pretty intensively if you get in the habit of flushing... I've never used one of those flush solutions unless you count cannazyme, but that's more for dealing with dead root mass etc. I like coco because it's SO easy to flush.

I hope so.. that would be awsome.

I never flushed in my previous grows. I just used higher Ph valued water to try and bring the PH back up.

I'm thinking it is time to make the Flush a regular part of my grow cycle. I will add it in with Neem oil.

I think IM gonna go back and try Coco again.

Im heavy slacking today too,,, Water started pouring into the studio I am in today. I had to move the Faders to the other side of the room I hate Mixing with just the Keyboard and mouse. It makes so much more work,, Atleast our Consol didn't get wreked.

yeah I remember your pH problems! Did not sound like too much fun but now look where you are!
Coco is fun and bonus, for you bicycle-riding, urban, apartment dwellers, when it's in its dry state is weighs SO little.
And you are meant to overwater it by 10% so it's a little flush every time.
I know, I'm still waiting to hear back from the IT guy re: my stupid other computer that has decided it does not like out LAN. BOOOOORING.

Yeah I can't stand PH issues... they ar ethe death of me and my plants... I pretty much know lots about growing now. and Im really confidant with anything I do with my plants.. but I am still troubled with PH eveytime...

I am going to make flusing the plant a routine thing now. And if I don't get it right after that,, THen I am going to consider Hydro.. It seems easier to me at this point. Changing the PH of Water is far easier than changing th ph of soil.

I even add Dolomite lime to my soil mixes... And everyone says I should be fine,, the Gorw shops all say the same thing,, no man your fine don't worrie about it... Every time I get screwed by it,... Ahhh well ill get ti right....

I will see with my young plants this gorw as they go into floweirng soon... I am gonna give them a flush tonight, And prune them up (Im gonna take off all the little branches that really never produce decent buds) to save space etc,,
