I always understood "bush weed" as that flowerless hemp that grows along the sides of the roads. Not for smoking, with like a 0.03% THC content.

Either way, any plant will suffer major shock from being outside in the ground, with endless soil potential, to going to a hydro setup, under artificial lighting indoors. Not a good idea if you ask me. That kind of shock will increase your chances of getting a male (from seed), or the plant turning into a hermi (both male and female plant matter), which produces seeded cannabis. Once seeds start to form, THC production stops.

Not a good idea. Plus it's going from soil to no soil. I'm guessing it might not live through the shock.
