If you have a tattoo show me and tell me about it

These are my tattooes here. I got them done back in Alberta about 3 years ago, all by the same artist. Except the one around my wrist. I got that done at the spur of the moment. It wasn't a huge important piece to the work, so anyone could have done it. Plus the guy I usually went to had a 8 month waiting list. It used to take me only 2 weeks to get in to see him. He has grown popular as a local artist there.

They are original workings me and him both worked on together, except the gargoyle. I found that one myself. I got it a few years after I got jumped and got severly beaten by 3 guys. They are supposed to keep evil away.

The other ones I got shortly after my first. I always loved the tribal workings of Kerry King, and even Aaron from Staind (who's band I cannot stand!). Theirs were kind of plain though, so I wanted some color. I came back a week later and he had the first one picked out for me. We started from there and kept it a tribal theme for my forearm. I need one more black band to go around the top, and it will pretty much be done for my forearm.

Then I can start on other pieces of bare skin, but it's so bloody expensive! and the pain is pleasureable to me. I love the sound and feel of the needle.

Yep, Papi's got a gargoyle, after I explained that to him.

And I am 100% with you on the sound and feel. And the greensoap smell.

That's cool, plus gargoyles look totally badass. Although people mistake it for the devil sometimes.

How about that liquid wipedown they use to clean off the excess ink when it's done? Where I got most of my workings, this dude used like this greenish liquid to clean it after, and it stung so freakin bad! It hurt worse than the actual tattoo. That familair sting, ahh, I love it.

I notice good shops smell like a dentist office.

That's greensoap! It's the pure schiznit! Organic, smells like sassafrass/lavender. Stings, but cools as well. I love it. I'd drink it if I thought it would do anything for me.

Lemme see if I can find a link.

I have a couple, sorry for the bad quality, but i dont have a digi cam with me, just a webcam. the first one is actually a star wars tattoo (laugh all you want! haha) i dont even know what it means.

the second is some sort of virgin mary type figure with an m-16 rifle i think it is? its some bands artwork that, at the time, i thought was really cool. now i think its just kinda dumb. but it was wayyyy long ago and i wasnt really thinkig about it, just thought itd look neat.

i dont think tattoos need any special meaning anyways.

Don't have one myself yet, probably soon.

But, I think this one is pretty sick. (I rotated the original picture to show you the other angle, it's the same tattoo). I saw it on a tattoo show...Method Man had something like it on his arm. Btw, that's not his arm in the pic lol.

If you have a tattoo show me and tell me about it

Okay, so i got this tattoo for my eighteenth birthday. i decided i needed something to commemorate my ascent into womanhood. i'd read in a magazine article that plum trees were given to royal Persian women when they became of age in ancient times. so i drew out this little plum blossom and got it tattooed on my hip. this design wasnt the original plan, at first i wanted a couple different designs and decided on the plum. the hardest part was deciding what and where. i decided that tattoos were me meant to be symbolic representations of our selves. as are our clothes and music choices and religious view etc. why get something that someone else has created? its like wearing the same clothes, listening to the same music and worshipping the same way as them. its just not YOU. tattoos that are chosen off hte wall or drawn by another person (i believe) is lazy and half-assed, and you should never go about something as permanent and symbolic as a tattoo.so of course my design had to be well planned and drawn by yours truely. it took me months to draw it just so it was perfect.
i wanted something small, something simple that I could easily add onto later.
i wanted it in a discreet place. the great thing about having one on my hip is that you hardly see it, only when i show it to you or when i wear a bathing suit. and its not your shallow lower back tattoo. and i gan grow with this, it will look good when i'm older. who looks good at 60 with a tattoo over thier ass?
anyway, i finally got it done, it cost me about $70.
i'm working on adding more, ive already drawn out everything.I'm adding a bird drawn in the same style to remember my recently deceased gradmother who collected bird figurines, i once broke on of them but she kept it, till the day she died it sat in the same place. i thought it would be honorable to resurrect that bird and the spirit of my grandma. I just need some CASH!

wow, sorry that was so long. so here's my tattoo
