Wasn't stoned, but I read it. I dont think we're headed i that direction, unless for some reason Europe goes to war with the Americas and some how a Communist takes over. Its a really good book, and if when you read it, you like it, read A Brave New World. its another book that gives u a fucked up view of the future. 1984 is better though. Also read Blindness by jose saramago. kinda long, but u'll trip.

I agree, it's not really where we are headed but it is a wonderful book. It just shows how power can fuck you up. 1984 was a mandatory read in my freshman english class....which was actually 1989 (let me take you back now...WAAAAY back).

i'd say we're pretty close to 1984, this country is turning into a military dictatorship, a socialist/fascist/communist police state.

definitely listen to his radio show when you get the chance...you can hear it online at www.infowars.com...

and depending on where you live, it might be on your am/fm dial, and always shortwave.

it's on weekdays from 11a-2p central time, and re-aired from 9p to midnight.

and check out my post on the politics board called 'most of alex jones videos for stream or download...'

and check out 911 the road to tyranny, matrix of evil, and the police state series...

1984 was sort of depressing; it may be like that in some places, but I think U.S. society is headed more in a Brave New World direction (except for the anything goes attitude toward mind expanding substances), equally bad.

Man I think were are going in that direction,
At the end the kind of wierd part of the whole background message of the book was, nobody knew anything about where they were, Eurasia and East asia were made up facts, the same about Goldstien. Vents for the public to keep the mind borderline snapping.

In the book human values are nothing, thats the statement, the lack of freedom and lose of identity too the machine.

It doesnt matter weather it's East Asia, or the flue shot, it's a reason for people to be scared, stressed and unwiling to acccept the sd truth that is reality. The fact that tihngs have slipped so far from the idea, so far from humanity...

Who knows who's behind the "terrorist attacks". The people pulling Bush's strings maybe? Mabe not, but people are dieing to appease the greed of people.
